CodeNu Technical Data
What does CodeNu detect?
Uranium: metal, oxide, hydroxide, acetate, nitrate, fluoride, carbonate, and ore - in both solid and aqueous forms.
Plutonium: detects key isotopes and compounds encountered in civil, defense, and emergency response applications.
What is the limit of detection (LoD)?
CodeNu LoD is ~3-5 µg per 100 cm2 for U and ~0.2 µg per 100 cm2 for Pu
CodeNu detects elemental U and Pu, not radiation
How do you use CodeNu?

Who is this for?
Military (all branches). A quick field test that every soldier can have at hand. Test vehicles, equipment, people, weapons, or even clothing.
Customs and Borders. Airport passenger & cargo screening; secondary option for portal monitor alarms, cargo testing, and primary indicative field screening.
First Responders. Police applications for quick field testing, defining event area limits, screening people, and providing qualitative initial screening capability. Firefighter application pertaining to hazard classification and area mapping.
Mining operations. Contamination migration mapping, clearing people off site, decontamination applications, confirming / tracking engineering controls.
National Labs / University Labs. Field screening test when quantitative instruments are not required/available, house-keeping decontamination testing before time-consuming and expensive release standard testing.
Nuclear Energy. Fuel tracking, engineering controls testing, incident mapping, and routine qualitative testing.
Other application areas: include but are not limited to: agriculture, hospitals, waste classification and metal recycling.
